Switchgear and Controlgear
Switchgear and Controlgear Assemblies (SHERs) were developed to replace obsolescent RTZO type Switchgear and Controlgear assemblies used in NPPs. SHER systems are used to implement low-voltage Switchgear and Controlgear assemblies and actuator control modules of any type.
Main functions of Switchgear and Controlgear Assemblies are the following: actuators control; actuators protection from overloads and short-circuit current; power management and generalized fault indication conditioning. In turn, secondary functions of the assemblies include: self-diagnostics (monitoring of assembly power supply parameters; monitoring of load current of the assembly within three phases; status monitoring for hardware), diagnostics of actuators status (monitoring of load current within three phases; status monitoring for limit switches and actuators position; monitoring of on/off state; monitoring of working cycles and operating time; monitoring of control commands execution including detection of their source) and diagnostic data acquisition and transmission to external diagnostic system for events visualization and archiving.
